The Golden Tour Camille Muffat this weekend in Nice: Charlotte Bonnet seeks her qualification for the Tokyo Olympics

Latest News

The first stage of the FFN Golden Tour Camille Muffat takes place from this Friday to Sunday in Nice during the city’s international meet. This competition, a qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics and the European Championships in Hungary, is crucial for the swimmers.

The Golden Tour Camille Muffat, created in 2013, is a French circuit of competitive swimming meets. In total, six meetings will follow one another with various events on the program. The competition awards a valuable ticket: qualification for the Tokyo Olympics, as well as for the European Championships in Budapest.

Any French swimmer listed on the ministerial lists of high-level athletes, within the federal project structures, or qualified for the French elite championships may compete. This ensures a strong showing in the pools, but the competition is also international. Any swimmer registered with a club of the French Swimming Federation or a foreign federation affiliated with FINA can participate in each event for which they have achieved the required time.

Due to the spread of the epidemic in the country, the organizers had to reduce the number of participants. A strict Covid protocol will be imposed on the swimmers. The Nice prefecture has decided to limit the number of participants to 250 swimmers. Already, a waiting list of over 50 athletes has been set up. In case of withdrawal, these athletes could eventually participate.
