For the fifth consecutive year, the Interior Security Days will take place in Nice on Saturday, November 17, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the Promenade des Anglais across from the Monument du Centenaire.
An event during which security actors, municipal police, national police, gendarmerie, civil security, and prefectures… showcase their skills and expertise to the public. An occasion for the population to meet those who dedicate their lives daily to the security of all.
The Prefecture, the City of Nice, and the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes have mobilized to offer more than 34 stands, as well as a program of dynamic demonstrations.
The Deputy General Directorate of Security and Protection (DGASP) of the City of Nice will be represented by 12 officers from the various brigades of the Municipal Police. On the agenda: demonstrations on mats by martial arts experts, simulations of arrests in public places, using professional techniques of the Nice Municipal Police…
Last year, more than 500,000 people in France, including 6,500 in Nice, attended the event.

3:15 p.m.: Awareness session on brushing and self-protection during a forest fire by the SDIS
3:40 p.m.: Demonstration of explosive detection by a dog from the airport gendarmerie
4:00 p.m.: Demonstration of Segway and bike patrols by the Nice municipal police
4:15 p.m.: Demonstration by an explosive detection dog by the DDPAF
