Thrill, vertigo, and cold sweats, this fourth edition of the Samain Film Festival organized by the Nice association “Les Méduses” promises you a festival full of discoveries and events.
Until November 2nd, from science fiction to horror, including documentaries and fantasy, the public and the jury, chaired by actress Michèle Mercier, will be able to discover 14 eclectic feature films from all around the world.
Blockbusters, debut films, more confidential works, there will be something for everyone with titles like Gravity, the new film by Alfonso Cuaron, Escape From Tomorrow by Randy Moore, I am a Ghost by H. P. Mendoza, the programmers’ favorite, and also Antisocial by Cody Calahan.
The festival does not forget Short Films, with 15 films presented and 2 dedicated categories, the International Shorts Competition, and the European Shorts Competition.
The festival program is quite dense: a special “Italian Thrills” evening, a Fantastic Night, a “100% Chucky” evening, two masterclasses taught by actress Michèle Mercier and Italian director Ruggero Deodato, retrospectives with classic films, short and feature films out of competition, and Carte Blanches to Nice associations.
And… the three must-see events: the ZOMBIE WALK that invades the Côte d’Azur every year, HALLOWEEN’S PARTY where concerts follow one another throughout the night for an evening full of surprises, and MONSTERMANIA 2013, with the Hall of Cinema Le Mercury transformed into a horrific lair and an ode to horror with more than 50 rare and precious posters on display.
