Do you love going to the cinema but find a full price ticket at 8 euros too expensive? Then Cinéma Spring is just for you. Enjoy three days of big-screen cinema at the special rate of 3.50 euros per session in movie theaters all across France.
And of course, Nice is no exception. This national event is entering its 7th edition: Sunday, March 19th, Monday, March 20th, and Tuesday, March 21st, 2006. A great way to start the arrival of the warmer days!
“Cinema Spring will allow film lovers, and those who are more casual viewers, to discover a multitude of high-quality works of all genres and origins that will be featured at their local cinemas,” points out Jean LABÉ, President of the National Federation of French Cinemas.
This annual event will indeed allow you to enjoy a multitude of new films among a rich and varied program at an exceptional price of 3.50 euros.
So what do you think, folks? “It’s awesome! We go every year with friends. We’re high school students and a high school student doesn’t have a lot of money. We often ‘tax’ our parents. But during these three days, we’re going to make the most of it. We love cinema but alas—it’s expensive, so we don’t hesitate when such opportunities are offered. Additionally, bad weather is expected in Nice on Sunday, so we’ll be better off warm, sitting in a comfy seat, in a cinema hall watching a great movie on the big screen. Not to forget our indispensable popcorn,” replied a young teenager, already planning which movies he will see during these three days.
Last year’s figures suggest there will be many movie enthusiasts: more than 2.2 million tickets were sold in 2005. Organized by the National Federation of French Cinemas, Cinema Spring is far from being “cut.”
