The summer 2020 report of the municipal police of Nice

This Friday, a gathering of the Nice municipal police took place near Place Masséna. On the agenda was the summer report briefing for this year 2020. A recap in images of the event with the company of the mayor, Christian Estrosi, and his first deputy, Anthony Borré.

About fifty members of the Nice municipal police gathered on the Plateau des Brumes.

On foot and on motorcycles, everyone is ready for the arrival of the mayor of Nice.

From his podium, Christian Estrosi will be well surrounded by his municipal police, lined up near the entrance to the Promenade du Paillon.

Upon his arrival, the mayor of the city passes through the ranks and greets the saluting officers.

Followed by his first deputy, Anthony Borré, the mayor heads to his podium to express himself on the summer report.

From his podium, Christian Estrosi starts by thanking the officers for their serious and diligent work since last January.

3,736 arrests since January 2020, 2,991 fines including 1,220 for not wearing a mask… The officers showed their omnipresence in all neighborhoods of the city.

This year has been particularly turbulent for the officers, in addition to the summer marked by the fight against Covid-19 and the reinforcement of sanitary rules.

Arrests, incivilities, fines… to answer journalists, the mayor emphasizes the importance of the fight the police are leading in response to the issues facing the people of Nice.
