From his podium, Christian Estrosi starts by thanking the officers for their serious and diligent work since last January.
3,736 arrests since January 2020, 2,991 fines including 1,220 for not wearing a mask… The officers showed their omnipresence in all neighborhoods of the city.
This year has been particularly turbulent for the officers, in addition to the summer marked by the fight against Covid-19 and the reinforcement of sanitary rules.
Arrests, incivilities, fines… to answer journalists, the mayor emphasizes the importance of the fight the police are leading in response to the issues facing the people of Nice.
