Thursdays on Current Affairs at IPAG Nice: Must the Church Adapt to the Challenges of Society?

Latest News

After the first meeting on the theme “Are Our Plates Sick?”, Thursday, March 28th, starting at 6:30 PM, Nice Matin and IPAG will offer a new theme that is incredibly timely after the election of the new Pope Francis I.

jeudis_2.jpg With the exceptional presence of Monsignor Louis Sankalé, Bishop of Nice, and Jean-Claude Barreau, a professor at IPAG and author of the essay “Is the Church Going to Disappear?” published in February by Seuil Editions, the opportunity will be given to attempt to answer this question after hearing from two great specialists on the subject. Indeed, the principle of “Thursdays of Current Affairs” is to give the floor to the public, who can thus act and react to the speakers’ comments.

But if you cannot be present on Thursday, March 28th, in the New York amphitheater of IPAG Nice, no worries, you can start asking your questions now via Twitter (#jeudisactu) or via the event created on Facebook.

The upcoming meetings of “Thursdays of Current Affairs” are already scheduled with April 11th, “We’ve Really Tried Everything Against Unemployment,” April 25th, “Is the Reform of School Timetables Serving Our Children?” and May 16th, “Learn More About the Future of Our Pensions.”
