Since the end of August, UNSA has been on the “platforms” to raise awareness among users, the company, and the metropolis about the need to improve the tramway transport offer by moving to a frequency of 3 minutes 45 seconds between each train.
The argument of this union, which apparently is not favored by the management that prefers the more consensual CGT, is based on a study* of the “urban transport of Nice” which would orchestrate (supported by concepts and figures) a new solution to improve this public service and revenues following an increase in users.
Jean Dessart, the combative UNSA-transport secretary, tirelessly advocates: “We will not back down from this excellent solution to improve user comfort and gather at least 1 million euros in revenue! In these times, it is certainly not to be overlooked.”
This unionist also explains that the service has lost its commercial speed: “We went from 4 minutes initially with a short journey to 4’11” in 2013 with the extension to Pasteur, and since September 2014 to 4 minutes 17 seconds!!!”
Is the problem that management prefers to make decisions rather than implement suggestions from others?
For the record, the Ligne d’Azur network transports 170,000 passengers per day.
