The grand electors will decide on March 19, but following the results of the April 3 vote, it is almost certain that Frédérique Vidal-Zoccola will be the new President of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
After earning a Master’s in Biochemistry and a DEA in Virology, she is a professor of Molecular Biology and Director of the Faculty of Sciences.
Here is her candidacy statement:
“I am convinced of the value of our University and very motivated by the challenges to be met. I wish to unite all the forces and sensibilities of our Institution around a unifying project that respects everyone.
In the face of the challenges of a changing world, the adherence of the entire university community to an institutional policy is essential to successfully carry out our missions of research, education, and the professional integration of students, while respecting the diversity and specificity of all components of the UNS.”
