Théo Le Boudec wins the 120 km of UTCAM 2026 in 14h25’43” and sets a new race record. Among the women, Audrey Gauthier wins after 120 km and 8,158 m of positive elevation gain.
The 120 km of the Ultra Trail Côte d’Azur Mercantour once again lived up to its promises. Over a course of 120 kilometers and 8,158 meters of positive elevation gain, Théo Le Boudec won in 14h25’43”, establishing a new reference time for the race.
Starting from Vesubia Mountain Park, the route crossed the main ridges of Mercantour, notably passing through the Portette Pass and the Turini Pass, before finishing in Saint-Martin-Vésubie. Despite high temperatures, close to 28°C, the runner from Venanson maintained the pace he had set for himself.
Before the start, Théo Le Boudec had announced his intention to break the fifteen-hour mark. He achieves his goal by improving his previous record of 15h22’43” by nearly an hour, which he set when he won in 2025. Already a winner in 2023, he thus signs a third victory in the 120 km of UTCAM.
The women’s race was won by Audrey Gauthier in 20h59’22”. Aurore Tual takes second place in 21h59’01”, while Laurence Herin completes the podium in 22h40’25”.
This edition of the 120 km brought together 202 starters. At the time this report was written, 99 runners had crossed the finish line and 96 had withdrawn, while several participants were still engaged in the last kilometers of the course.
With this new record and Théo Le Boudec’s third victory, the 120 km confirms its place among the major events of UTCAM. A performance that further cements the Venanson runner’s place in the history of the race.
