Water polo: The French women’s team hosts Hungary at Jean Bouin

Latest News

Tonight the Jean Bouin pool (at 7 PM) will be the arena for the last World League match between the French women’s team and Hungary.

A local player, Marie Barbieux, will be part of the national team.

Still with zero points in the standings, the purpose of this match is to encourage the French team to integrate throughout the year into a high-level approach and to keep them in a perspective of excellence.

For the French players, the opportunity is exceptional and the stakes are high.

“I hope we finish this 2015 World League on a positive note.
Even among the strongest nations, we have managed to show promising things for the future. The players need to capitalize on the experience gained to gain more confidence in themselves and approach the future with ambition,” says Filippos Sikalis, the coach of the blues.

The main objective is thus to maintain a strong and effective work dynamic in view of the 2016 Euro qualifying games for the Rio Olympics.
