As part of the “Reading for All” initiative launched by Raoul Mille, the City of Nice organized for the third consecutive year a short story competition in the CM2 classes, middle schools, and high schools of the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis.
For the 2013 edition, just like for the Book Festival, the theme of the Francophonie, “Citizens of the world sharing the French language” was chosen. Indeed, Nice will host the 7th edition of the Francophonie Games, combining sports and culture, from September 7 to 15.
Out of the 60 stories received from schools and institutions in Nice and the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis, 16 were selected and compiled into a collection titled “Short Story Competition – City of Nice Prize 2013.”
Under the presidency of Didier Van Cauwelaert, the jury designated the winners who, in fact, are all female!
