Patrick Allemand unveiled his program for Nice

Patrick Allemand is very proud to be the first to announce his program: “We are operational. We are the only ones to have already presented a list (editor’s note: Patrick Mottard has also done this since Sunday) and a complete project.” His project thus extends over 46 pages and as a good student it includes an introduction, a conclusion, three chapters, and fifteen subparts. Far from the likes of Victor Hugo or Balzac, this booklet has the merit of being educational. First part: Changing times means building sustainable economic development: economically useful Euros.

Second part: At the crossroads of economic and social: Nice, City of Culture.

Third part: Changing times means building a caring city: socially useful Euros.

Patrick Allemand emphasizes a priority: better housing with the construction of 1,000 social rental units per year. It’s a clear statement, so Nice-Premium might echo it: the “Changing Times” listโ€™s program is decidedly social, including the construction of housing, the creation of 800 childcare places, and free child care in the morning, a health voucher of 50 euros for seniors earning less than 1,000 euros, free transport for minors, students, and young people in unpaid training.

For culture, Patrick Allemand wants to gather general states by neighborhood and by sector of activities, better balance the calendar of festivities, build a 700-seat theater at the south station, register Old Nice and the Castle Hill as UNESCO heritage sites, popularize the Nice Carnival and the Nice Jazz Festival, and promote Niรงoise culture.

Regarding major projects, the list of the left-wing and environmentalist coalition plans to renovate the Ray Stadium with a capacity of 26,000 seats, implement line 2 of the Tram from east to west, and consider a line 3 to Lingostiรจre, extending line 1 towards La Trinitรฉ, serving the CHU Pasteur, Les Liserons and Lโ€™Ariane.

It is difficult to quote or summarize 46 pages of the program. For good measure, it includes assigning an anti-corruption magistrate to the mayor’s office, eliminating the incinerator in Lโ€™Ariane, equipping public sites and buildings with WiFi (Pace Massรฉna, Municipal Libraries…), increasing the municipal police force by seven times from 10 PM to 4 AM…

Patrick Allemand’s list will organize 60 public meetings by March 9 to explain the program and answer citizens’ questions. “We will go before the people of Nice in halls not predisposed to our cause. Our program is daring, ambitious, and innovative. We want to provide educational content to explain how we will manage the city,” justifies Patrick Allemand. So, citizens of Nice, if you find this article too condensed or if it raises any questions, take a civic approach and attend the meetings of the Changing Times list by Patrick Allemand, but also of other candidates…
