During the month of August, Les Squatters will be performing on the private beaches of the Baie des Anges (on the 9th at Florida, the 11th at Bambou Plage, the 15th at Neptune, the 18th at Opรฉra, the 23rd at Blue Beach, and the 31st at Beau Rivage).
After gaining national recognition with their offbeat song “Tu es blonde” (over 40,000 singles sold, 6 weeks in the Top 50) and their recent election to the Presidency of the Republic on the music site MySpace, with their track “La droite, la gauche…” (over 10,000 views of their clip in 1 month), Les Squatters, in order not to be left behind this summer, decided alongside their tour to launch a new page on MySpace simply called: Les Squatters en vacances (www.myspace.com/lessquattersenvacances).
Against a backdrop of harmonica, percussion, and acoustic guitar, Eric, Alexandra, and Stรฉph like to never take themselves seriously. On stage, a clothesline between their microphone stands features T-shirts, boxers, socks, and even Miss’s thongs… along with battery-powered flashers, plastic grass, cardboard karaoke, and mini disco balls… to better immerse themselves in their offbeat universe.
