President Eric Ciotti (alongside about twenty general councilors, including Patrick Mottard) announced during a press conference the launch of a major public consultation aimed at allowing all residents of the department to express themselves on the work axes and priorities for the upcoming actions of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Eric Ciotti: “After the elections on March 20 and 27 and my re-election to the Presidency of the departmental institution for the next three years, we want to give a voice to all those who want it within the framework of a consultative operation.
We hope for a motivated and imaginative input from citizens to understand their priorities in implementing our program and also to gather new ideas that could be integrated into it. I hope these white pages will be filled with numerous, fruitful, and fertile proposals.”
Initiative of participatory democracy or a somewhat demagogic communication operation? The future will tell, and the results will show whether, besides the smoke, there will also be fire.

Then, you will be able to propose your ideas on numerous themes such as employment, housing, actions serving seniors, disability, youth, budget management, security, health-related movements, transport, health prevention, quality of life, environment, leisure, sports, heritage, and culture.
A series of public meetings will also be organized.
The first will take place on Monday the 9th at 5 PM at the Palais des Expositions in Nice. Subsequent meetings (schedule to be defined) will be at the Palais de l’Europe in Menton, the Skema Business School of Sophia-Antipolis, Saint-Martin-Vésubie, and the Palais des Congrès in Grasse.
The final and summary meeting will take place in the General Council chamber on May 30.
