Table tennis: Nice CPC takes the lion’s share!

Latest News

The Nice CPC won four out of the five titles up for grabs yesterday at the departmental interclub championship, a competition pitting teams from the same age category against each other, with each representing their club. This event has been organized for ten years at the Raoul-Dufy hall.

Except for the juniors, who were logically defeated by Antibes – a team notably featuring two members of the Boulouris Hope Center – all the Nice teams were crowned champions of the Alpes-Maritimes. This victory often involved young players overachieving in higher age categories.

All teams naturally qualified for the regional championship, which will take place on February 5th.

It should be noted that the upcoming Professional B French championship match will see Nice travel to Argentan tomorrow evening.

On the occasion of this 9th day of the Pro B table tennis championship, Nice CPC is undertaking one of its longest trips of the season to face Argentan, in Orne, on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Nice table tennis players are currently 6th in the championship with a provisional record of three wins and two draws. They ended the year 2011 with a bang, securing a solid victory against the bottom team Fontenay-sous-Bois (4-0). They begin the year with a clash against the leader, who is aiming for a direct promotion to Pro A. Against Argentan’s strong opposition, the Azuréens have nothing to lose but are eager to once again display their progress and team spirit.

After another long journey on January 24 to Morez – where Cédric Rouleau and Olivier Maero’s men will seek a sweet revenge against the promoted team – the club’s flagship team will finally reunite with its audience on Tuesday, February 14, at 8 p.m. at the Raoul-Dufy hall, during the match against Auch.
