In a movement towards closer community interaction, redevelopment work has been undertaken at Place du Pin, one of the iconic locations in the Port district.
After 9 months of work and a total cost of €1,231,000 including taxes, Place du Pin has been transformed. Rue Bonaparte and part of the square have been pedestrianized to offer more space to pedestrians by creating an area with seating where people can linger under the pine tree.
Accessibility has been improved for individuals with reduced mobility. The areas in front of the building facades have been redeveloped to showcase the shops or facilitate their transformation.
High-quality facilities have also been installed in this new living space, such as the square’s lighting, paving similar to that of Place Garibaldi, urban furniture, and large planters filled with Mediterranean shrubs.
