5 years already! For five years, the In&Out Meetings โ€“ the Nice Gay and Lesbian Film Festival โ€“ have been taking place in Nice, at the beginning of spring, for 10 days of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Trans.) Cinema. Organized by the association Les Ouvreurs, this event will be held this year from April 16 to 24 in Nice and for the second year in Cannes, on April 20, 26 & 27.

Far from provocation, this choice is an invitation to delve deeper, through images, into the small revolution sparked by the French law on marriage and adoption for all.

Many films, both fiction and documentaries, selected in the 2013 program, offer new insights to spectators on this social issue, which still seems to be one of the most subversive. This is confirmed by the scale and intensity of the rejection reactions.

“With In&Out 2013, curious minds, which we know to be many, as evidenced by the attendance figures of previous editions (3,348 spectators in 2011, 3,889 spectators in 2012), will be able to discover previews, exclusive films from the biggest international festivals, as well as numerous guests and fantastic evenings organized by the festivalโ€™s partner establishments,” concludes Benoit Arnulf, the artistic director of the festival.
