Every gesture and action aimed at helping the most disadvantaged is a step in the right direction and deserves to be highlighted.
During the end-of-year period and particularly on the occasion of Christmas festivities, which are traditionally a time for sharing and solidarity, the city of Nice has decided to offer a festive evening in a warm and friendly setting to people experiencing extreme poverty and the homeless.
Thus, the Social Action Department of the city of Nice, the Municipal Center for Social Action (CCAS), the Salvation Army, and associations working daily against poverty are organizing a Christmas evening at the Corvésy municipal restaurant.
50 volunteers (from the Salvation Army, students, or voluntary agents from the Department of Social Affairs and the CCAS) will welcome up to 200 guests for a festive meal, assisted by Nemanja Pejcinovic, Grégoire Puel, and Kévin Gomis from OGC Nice. The evening will feature entertainment and musical interludes presented by the association and musicians from the Regional National Conservatory.
This solidarity Christmas will end with the traditional giving of gifts. The players of OGC Nice will present the Salvation Army with invitations for the Nice-Evian Thonon Gaillard match on December 21st.
