The facts are well-known and do not warrant revisiting. Last Friday, police crews (a total of about ten people) intervened following the burglary of a villa, and the arrest of the criminals almost went awry, although everything ended well with the arrest of the five offenders and four injured police officers.
Prefect Adolphe Colrat wanted to receive these young officers at the Palais Sarde and award them a bronze medal for acts of courage and dedication. A well-deserved reward and also greatly appreciated by these brave police officers.
The occasion was fitting for the State representative to share the good results achieved in 2013 in the fight against delinquency, and in particular against burglaries, thanks to the implementation of an anti-burglary plan and the professionalism of the Police and Gendarmerie.
As Prefect Colrat wished to emphasize, “They are also the result of the commitment of all state services in the department in the service of the population.”
A beautiful ceremony after so many partisan declarations that followed this unfortunate episode, all aiming to create controversy instead of considering the physical and psychological consequences for these deserving police officers.
