The European Health Policy

The European health policy is based on the principle that good population health is a condition for achieving European objectives, which are prosperity, solidarity, and security.

The Union’s health strategy pursues three objectives: promoting good health in an aging Europe, protecting citizens from health threats, and advocating for dynamic health systems and new technologies.

The European Parliament, particularly the “Environment, Public Health and Food Safety” committee, has long been involved in establishing a coherent public health policy.
