They aren’t many, but at least they give the impression of having clear ideas. Above all, when it comes to alliances in the department, the Green Ecologists have rejected the errant method of occasionally partnering with the Socialists and at other times with the FdG. They have chosen to pursue a traditional partnership framework with the left forces (PS, PRG, MRC), with the exception of the Vence canton.
Next, the Green Ecologists will be directly involved in the electoral battle with men and women from the field who exhibit various sensitivities (associative, civil society) but share a common denominator: enhancing quality of life in the economic, societal, and environmental spheres.
Naturally, each canton, essentially mini-districts, has its own needs and demands, and it is not always easy to bridge the gap between large urban areas along the coast and the rural zones in the valleys.
And then, what to tell the voters of a collective whose competencies are not yet defined by law and that risks becoming a social agency?
It is in this context and with this mindset that the Green candidates are on the ground asking for a vote of confidence, with the hope of being represented in the Mercantour Boulevard chamber. The objective? To ensure the presence of a sensibility sometimes neglected in favor of much more concrete interests.
Moreover, one of the candidates (we won’t name him, but he’s readily attributed the award for perspicacity) has turned this electoral weakness into a positive: it’s better to vote for our list, at least our voice won’t be drowned in a monotonous majority managed by its president and a few barons!
And what if he’s right?
