img_6834_1_.jpg As usual, the Senior Citizenship Delegation of the city of Nice organized a costume ball after their parade on March 25th at the carnival procession. This time, 300 seniors were invited to come and dance at the Casino Ruhl on the two dance floors set up for the occasion.

To participate, it was sufficient to register with the senior center and wear a costume on the day of the party. Let us remind you that this event was established in 2008 with the aim of integrating seniors into local festivities.

Since that date, their delegation, supported by the Nice City Hall, has offered numerous programs to elderly people as well as to retirement homes in the Alpes Maritimes. These include parades at the carnival, dance days, sports programs, and other activities promoting sociability and solidarity.

As for the atmosphere of the ball, it brought about joyful performances on the cabaret floors. At the end, Mr. and Mrs. Carnaval 2014, with two runners up surrounding each of them, were elected following a parade of 30 different costumes.
