Victorious last week against Paris (23-20), the Aiglonnes were determined to achieve a second consecutive win against Nantes last night (22-21) on the court of the Charles Ehrmann hall. Mission accomplished!
And that’s two! Mission accomplished for Marjan Kolev’s players, who clinched the victory last night (23-22) against their Nantes contenders! A sense of renewal after this two-month international break, proving that the Aiglonnes haven’t missed a beat. From the start, the Nice attack showed initiative, with Carmen Martin scoring 7 goals, while the Azurian defense ensured security! 12-7 at halftime.
Returning from the locker rooms, the Nantes players displayed much more vigor, narrowly missing several chances to catch up with the score. It was without counting on an imperial Marija Colic in the Nice goals! Despite the 5 goals from Nantes’ Orlane Ahanda, the Aiglonnes, led by a Martina Skolkova in top form (5 goals), logically won. The final moments offered plenty of suspense, as just two minutes before the end of the match, only 1 point separated the two teams!
OGC Nice Handball positively concludes its first match of 2019, winning 22-21 on their court!
