At the national level, 389 deaths have been added, bringing the total to 22,465. There are 43,493 people hospitalized, of which 4,870 are in intensive care.
In the Alpes-Maritimes department, there are 270 hospitalized, including 50 in intensive care. The deaths total 170.
The number of deaths recorded between March 1 and April 13 is higher than that recorded during the same periods in 2019 or 2018: 93,839 compared to 75,100 in 2019 and 83,108 in 2018, according to provisional data published every Friday by INSEE during the Covid-19 epidemic. This is 25% more deaths than for the same period last year and 13% more compared to 2018.
