The deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes, Eric Ciotti, came to announce the gradual opening of the Park located in Saint-Martin-Vésubie. Accompanied by director Nathalie Clément, she was able to explain the new health measures implemented.
The Vesúbia Mountain Park is the first indoor canyoning center in France. This visit aims to inspect the technical and sanitary installations set up.
Strict sanitary measures
There will, of course, be the standard barrier gestures already in place. Mask-wearing is mandatory for both staff and visitors. However, there will be exceptions depending on the activities. Floor signage will also be installed. Finally, there will be a strict cleaning and disinfection protocol, accompanied by the provision of hydroalcoholic gel.
Director Nathalie Clément also unveiled more specific measures for the park: "We have implemented the requested protocols. All areas will be open to the public except for caving, the wellness area (sauna hammam), and the paddling pool. All covered activities are available by reservation, except for the pool, access to which is free and limited to 60 people with a break at midday for cleaning operations."
A gradual reopening
The resumption will occur in three phases: it will start on June 2 with Parc Alpha as well as the complex’s restaurants. On June 8, it will be the turn of the activities taking place at La Colmiane. The full opening of the Vesúbia Mountain Park will be possible on June 16 along with indoor sports. However, the management seems confident about bringing back customers. “We’ve received a large number of calls and many people have already signed up to come as soon as we reopen,” confirms Nathalie Clément.
Rules on a case-by-case basis for activities
Climbing: 2-hour practice slots by reservation, 40 people at most at the same time, mandatory liquid chalk, prohibition of walking barefoot, personal equipment preferred.
Fun climbing and high acrobatic course: 1-hour practice by reservation, 10 people at most at the same time, thorough disinfection at midday.
Canyon: 1.5 hours supervised by guides by reservation, 8 people maximum per slot, 4 rotations per day to allow equipment disinfection and locker room cleaning.
