Belaprem transforms the main hall of 109 into a Roller Disco rink until July 31st. Over four evenings, beginners and experienced skaters will be able to move to the rhythm of music, participate in free initiation sessions and discover the world of roller skating with The Riviera Skates.
The main hall of 109 changes atmosphere until Friday, July 31st. As part of Belaprem, the Nice cultural venue hosts a Roller Disco open to all audiences. An initiative that returns every year. Over four evenings, from 5:30 PM to 12:30 AM, music will accompany participants on a specially designed rink.
The event is aimed at both beginners and experienced skaters. Everyone can bring their own rollers or rent a pair directly on site for 5 euros. A helmet will also be available for rent for 1 euro. Wearing a helmet will remain mandatory for children.
Beyond simple free skating, classes and initiation sessions will be offered free of charge throughout the evening. Instructors will guide first steps on wheels, answer participants’ questions and share their advice to allow everyone to enjoy the rink in the best conditions.
Food and beverage areas will be accessible on site for the duration of the evenings. Parking will also be available at a rate of 5 euros, with payment by credit card only.
The Riviera Skates introduces roller skating to the general public
To host these four evenings, Belaprem relies on The Riviera Skates. Created with the aim of making roller skating accessible to the widest audience, this organization has become the first school on the French Riviera entirely dedicated to learning this discipline, regardless of age or skill level.
Present between Nice, Antibes and Cannes, The Riviera Skates organizes classes, workshops and events throughout the year. The school combines technical learning, outdoor practice and meetings between enthusiasts. This approach emphasizes both progression and the pleasure of sharing group outings.
More than a school, The Riviera Skates brings together a community of practitioners who meet regularly around a shared passion. This presence at 109 will allow visitors to benefit from personalized advice, discover the basics of roller skating or improve their technique in a friendly atmosphere.
A summer activity open to all
With this Roller Disco, Belaprem offers an original activity at the heart of 109 for four days. The rink will remain free and accessible every evening, allowing visitors to discover a practice that combines music, sport and conviviality.
Beginners, families and enthusiasts will be able to share the same skating space in a setting designed to encourage exchange and discovery. A way to bring 109 to life during the summer period while highlighting a discipline that is developing rapidly on the French Riviera.
