On the occasion of World Music Day, Eric Ciotti, on behalf of Department 06, presented the choirs selected by a jury that will participate in the final.
As a prelude to the event, the senior departmental choir performed excerpts from Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” under the direction of choir conductor Luis Saldivia Vega.
Organized by the Alpes-Maritimes department, this competition provides an opportunity to come together. There are no age or gender restrictions, one simply needs to participate as part of an associative choir (with at least six members) from the Maralpine region and Monaco.
Eric Ciotti, accompanied by Philippe Rossini and Michel Jourdan, the famous lyricist, announced the 11 choirs selected out of the thirty applicants. “There were supposed to be ten, but we couldn’t narrow it down any further.”
The participants in the final, which will take place at the Nikaia Palace on Sunday, October 13, are:
