The Third National Day Against Malnutrition: Call for Mobilization

Latest News

Elderly people who no longer have the strength to shop or cook, patients living with cancer or Alzheimer’s disease who have lost their appetite or forget to eat, children with cystic fibrosis losing the desire to eat… In France, nearly 2 million people are affected by malnutrition.

On the occasion of its third National Day, the Collective for the Fight Against Malnutrition has chosen Nice for its annual event.

A morning of debates is planned to allow the 300 expected participants to share and exchange ideas on innovative tools to be implemented to tackle the development of this phenomenon and improve the detection of vulnerabilities.

The Collective for the Fight Against Malnutrition was created in 2016. Its objective is to prevent, detect, and care for people suffering from malnutrition. It brings together about a hundred actors from civil society, coming from diverse backgrounds: health professionals (doctors, dieticians, dental surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists), patient associations, caregivers, relatives, and users of healthcare facilities, elected officials, anthropologists, sociologists, philosophers, economists, managers, actors from the social and solidarity economy and clinical nutrition, as well as religious and political figures.

On this occasion, innovative initiatives for the prevention, detection, and management of malnutrition will be awarded the Collective Prize.
