Shops: Open, Yes, but Under What Conditions?

Latest News

Since the start of the second lockdown, small non-essential local businesses have remained closed. This situation, with one month to go before the Christmas holidays, needs to change to allow small shop owners to survive.

Prime Minister Jean Castex is working on a reinforced health protocol for the reopening of so-called “non-essential” businesses, for which the date has not yet been set.
This protocol would apply to all businesses and the entire large retail sector.

“All businesses must be open for the weekend of November 27,” stated Geoffroy Roux de Bรฉzieux, president of Medef, leading the protest.

The Government conditions the reopening of businesses and sections selling “non-essential” products on the adoption of a “reinforced health protocol” currently being negotiated with professionals.

Mandatory mask-wearing, provision of hand sanitizer, adherence to social distancing, implementation of a “gauge” setting a maximum number of customers based on sales area… are measures being considered.

But the shopkeepers do not want too many constraints! The government is expected to decide on the matter next week.

Starting Monday, Nice-Premium is committed to offering you a profile of a business engaging in click & collect every two days.
