Following a press conference given by the mayor of the city of Nice, Mr. Christian Estrosi, and his deputy Mr. Jean-Luc Gagliolo, the winners of the Baie des Anges Prize were announced. This prize has been aimed at rewarding authors from the region since 1996, for a novel published in the 12 months preceding the Nice Book Festival.
The 2021 Nice Baie des Anges Prize was awarded to the writer Jean-Luc Barrรฉ for his novel “Le Corps dโorigine” published by Grasset.
For the year 2022, there were two winners; indeed, the jury chaired by Franz-Olivier Giesbert concluded a tie between the novel “Numรฉro deux” by David Foenkinos published by Gallimard and “Au titre des souffrances endurรฉes” written by Thierry Vimal published by Le Cherche-Midi.

– “Monty,” Dominique Dumond
– “Au titre des souffrances endurรฉes,” Thierry Vimal
From June 3 to 5, 2022, the Nice Book Festival will be held with the theme “Writing an Adventure,” and the Nice Baie des Anges Prize will be awarded to the winners during the festival’s opening.
