The 3rd Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival ended last night at the National Sports Museum. It was an opportunity to present an award to the various winners of this 2018 edition.
More than 80 people, mainly sports personalities, were present to attend the award ceremony of the Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival. Among them, Franco Ascani (President of FICTS), Claire Peradotto (President of the organizing association), Philippe Manassero (President of CDOS 06), and José Cobos (Deputy for Sports in the Nice City Council), were responsible for presenting the awards to the winners.
Noteworthy was the exceptional presence of Yelena Isinbayeva (double Olympic pole vault champion, IOC member), who played the lead role in the award-winning film in the Olympic Games category.
This year, 308 films were in competition, divided into six categories plus a special award. The selection process had two stages. First, students from the School of Journalism in Nice conducted an initial pre-selection. Subsequently, the jury, chaired by Gérard Camy (film historian), accompanied by Bernard Maccario (President of CREPS PACA), Jean-Gérard Guarino (Vice-President of the Panathlon of Nice), Philippe Manassero, and Renato Tullio Ferrari (FICTS Delegate), voted to select the winners.
