Following the awarding of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the sports festival is a new event initiated this year by the Ministry of Sports.
The first edition will take place from September 21 to 23, throughout France. The aim of this event is to unite the population around the benefits of sport and physical activity, while highlighting the millions of volunteers who promote it daily.
The National Museum of Sport is joining this event and will offer a completely free discovery day on Saturday, September 22.
During half a day, the museum’s teams will present a new activity or educational workshop every hour*. Additionally, to support this exceptional day and to welcome as many people as possible, the museum will be entirely free of charge from noon onwards.
Throughout the afternoon, the museum is also offering to collect unused sports equipment in order to recycle and give them a second life.
