On Monday, September 27, the vaccination center at the Palais des Expositions will cease its activities. On Friday, September 24, the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, visited the site to thank the staff involved throughout the vaccination campaign.

Converted into a vaccination center for Nice in January 2021, the Palais des Expositions simultaneously became the largest vaccination hub in France. At the beginning of the week, it will return to its original purpose prior to the health crisis. Christian Estrosi wanted to pay tribute to the 2,000 people mobilized who made this location a major player in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

Out of these 2,000 people, there were 900 agents, nearly 600 municipal and metropolitan agents, 300 students, and 580 healthcare workers.

Thanks to all these contributors, the Palais des Expositions achieved record figures:
โ€“ 266,990 people received the 1st dose
โ€“ 223,144 people fully vaccinated,
โ€“ Nearly 10,000 people received a 3rd dose,
โ€“ 602,000 calls handled by the COVID platform,
โ€“ More than 314,000 injections administered.

โ€œThese results were made possible thanks to the responsiveness of our Health, Environmental Safety, and Risk Management Agency and the engagement of different professional sectors committed to the sole objective of protecting the people of Nice from this global epidemic,โ€ stated Christian Estrosi.

Thanks to the mobilization and commitment of all, the milestone of 500,000 doses administered was surpassed this morning (more than 314,000 injections were carried out at the Palais des Expositions alone).

Starting Tuesday, September 28, the vaccination center will be transferred and operational at the Kiosque ร  musique and then at the Thรฉรขtre de la Verdure.
