As part of its Agenda 21, the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis established, in 2015, a Call for Projects (CFP) Agenda 21 intended to support and encourage virtuous projects in the field of sustainable development led by the municipalities of the territory.
The three editions of 2015, 2016, and 2017 made it possible to subsidize 40 projects carried out by 26 municipalities in the territory, for a total of 128,014 euros.
Within this framework, the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis produced, in collaboration with the concerned municipalities, two films of approximately 3 minutes on two projects:
ยท The centralized computer management of automatic watering in the municipality of Saint-Andrรฉ-De-La-Roche: This project aims, among other things, to reduce the municipality’s water consumption by 25%.
ยท The sustainable development of the Pugets forest in Saint-Laurent-du-Var: This project includes, among other things, the installation of informational panels to raise awareness about the preservation of local biodiversity.
These two films will be screened for the first time as part of the European Sustainable Development Week, which will take place from May 30 to June 5, 2017.
They will be accessible on the Metropolis’ websites (sections: news, videos, Agenda 21) and the concerned municipalities.
As a reminder:
The metropolitan Agenda 21, adopted on April 19, 2013, constitutes the Metropolis’ master plan in the field of sustainable development.
The metropolitan Agenda 21 was the first in France to involve the municipalities in its development and implementation by entrusting them with the execution of actions on their respective territories. Thus, 18 of the 62 actions included in Agenda 21 are carried out by member municipalities of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, while benefiting from the territory’s synergy as well as support and assistance from the Metropolis.
