Over the years, the Cinéalma festival has become one of the flagship events of the Nice region.
For its second edition, it stands out through relevant and high-quality choices that showcase the cinematography of countries on both sides of the Mediterranean.
This year again, the program aims to be varied, rich with a dense current affairs lineup.
And then, how can we forget the effort and talent of everyone who allowed this small festival to shine so high and far?
The answer is in the words of its mayor Charles Scibetta: “Carros is a land of cultures, dialogues, and sharing.”
From October 13 to 22, the Juliette Gréco hall will feature 34 films, including 9 premieres and 6 exclusives, from 13 countries.
The 2017 Cinéalma programming thus maintains its strong roots in the Mediterranean basin by representing and promoting the diversity of cultural expressions.
Cinéalma remains highly committed to the values of peace, exchange, and dialogue and the spirit of conviviality that has driven it since its inception.
This evening, the opening ceremony will precede the screening of the film “La madre” by Spanish director Alberto Morais (who is announced to be present, accompanied by co-writer Veronica Garcia and actress Nieve de Medina).
