In Vieux Nice, a beam of light shining on the street catches the eye: Pâtisserie Moutet. With a bright white decor, the shop showcases in the window pastries and baked goods. Eyes filled with greedy curiosity, you’re bound to make a purchase! Two years ago, our warm couple Gaël and Sara moved to Nice and opened their charming shop. Gaël creates sweet jewels, and Sara welcomes you with kindness!

Our humble pastry chef was the Executive Chef at the 5* Ritz Carlton in Barcelona, Hong Kong, Toronto, Malaysia, delighting the palates of prominent politicians and actors. This prestigious position across various countries allowed him to learn the great techniques of foreign pastries, adapt to culinary cultures, and work with teams of different customs.

When French Tradition Meets Asian Flavors

A brilliant career and an enriching experience led him to create his own pastry shop, chocolate shop, confectionery, and ice cream parlor. Gaël makes classic pastries like Paris-Brest, Opéra, Mille-feuilles, fruit tarts, vanilla flanViennoiseries like croissant, pain au chocolat, sugared brioche, madeleine, kouign-amannTraditional ice creams and sorbets: chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, mandarin, fig… as well as chocolates.

But Pâtisserie Moutet offers much more than classic creations! Indeed, Gaël brings a touch of sweetness with Asian flavors through his rigor and passion. His originality: a sweet touch with Asian flavors: Matcha or Wasabi Creamy Chiffon Roll, Chocolate Coconut Mango Dome, Clementine Sesame Entremet, Matcha, Sesame ice cream… delightful little gems that captivate!

The recipes are exclusively made with fresh French products: organic flours and milk, seasonal fruits from our local producers, Valrhona chocolate… Gaël’s commitment to crafting his sweets emphasizes quality and the absence of colorings and preservatives. Thus, you will find adequate quantities of pastries and baked goods on display.

For more exotic inspirations, one can fall for the Japanese milk bread, airy, soft, and light for savory or sweet recipes, pistachio and chocolate cornetti, and chocolate bars with different Japanese tea flavors
