The metropolis of Nice has set up a series of free workshops, by registration, to learn and understand everything about bicycles. Here is the program.
There is something for everyone, both young and old, for the experienced and beginners alike. From July 4 to August 30, the city of Nice is organizing, with the Maison du Vélo, a series of workshops centered around bicycles. Get back on the saddle, gain confidence on the handlebars, learn to navigate the city better, deal with pedestrians, or simply introduce your child to cycling. A varied offer to allow everyone to (re)start cycling!
The cycling practice program
This Friday, July 4, the series of workshops began with urban coaching. A meeting to better understand travel in traffic as well as coexistence with other users.
The program also includes (re)getting back on the bike workshops (July 10 and 22, August 21 and 28) for those having difficulties and children’s bike courses (July 18 and August 22) to learn to maneuver around obstacles.
Original workshops
The final workshop offered (on August 30) will focus on bicycle self-repair. There will be a diagnostic with maintenance advice and all the necessary parts for repairs will be provided so everyone can practice.
In an original twist, an Upcycling workshop will be offered on Wednesday, July 16. The goal: to give a second life to bike spare parts by transforming them into useful everyday items or decorative objects. All these parts will be provided.
