Antoine Lacassagne Center confirms its presence in the international ranking of cancer care facilities. For the 2027 edition of Newsweek – World’s Best Specialized Hospitals, the Nice-based center ranks 131st worldwide among the 300 facilities selected in the oncology specialty.
At the European level, Antoine Lacassagne Center holds the 54th position. In France, the facility ranks 8th, compared to 16th place in the 2026 edition. The center also ranks 5th among French Cancer Fighting Centers (CLCC).
Progress in the French ranking
This new edition therefore marks an improvement in Antoine Lacassagne Center’s position in the national ranking. The facility moves from 16th to 8th place among distinguished French structures in oncology.
The Newsweek – Statista World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 ranking distinguishes 300 hospitals worldwide for their oncology activity. Several criteria are taken into account to establish this selection.
The evaluation is based in particular on professional reputation. This dimension is based on an international survey conducted among physicians, healthcare professionals and hospital managers, who are invited to recommend facilities in their area of expertise.
Accreditations and general or specialty-specific certifications are also among the criteria studied. These elements focus in particular on the application of quality and safety standards.
The ranking also takes into account the implementation of PROMs, Patient Reported Outcome Measures. These indicators make it possible to directly integrate patient experience into the evaluation, particularly through reported outcomes and quality of life.
