This Wednesday evening, the Eagles of Nice unveiled their new colors at the Jean Bouin ice rink. The club is revamping itself with a new logo, a color change, and a largely revamped roster.
It’s a fresh start for Nice hockey! This Wednesday evening, the Eagles of Nice presented the changes for this new year to the press and some of their supporters. Modifications on several levels, as part of a major project for the club. To begin with, the club is changing its name.
The club is still called the Eagles of Nice, but from now on, they will be united under the name โADNโ. While the โAโ refers to the Eagle and the โNโ to Nice, the โDโ does not represent the connection โdeโ. In a video available on its social networks, the club explains it refers to donation, a value that should be part of the clubโs DNA.
New colors for the logo and jerseys
The club’s colors are new, starting with the logo. The eagle is still present. It is now gold with some hints of red. A way to maintain the identity of the city, while modernizing the logo.
If you were attached to the traditional red and black colors on the Eagles’ jersey, you’ll need to adapt. The black has completely disappeared, replaced by a navy blue that dominates the jersey. The second jersey, meanwhile, is entirely white, with “Nice” written in sky blue. The management wanted to retain the red color, present on a third jersey.
President Filipe Bastos explained this color choice. “First and foremost, the color of Nice is azure blue. We retained the red because it’s history, the emblem.” On choosing navy blue, “it never gets completely dark, there are always stars shining,” according to the Nice president.
A largely revamped roster
The Eagles of Nice haven’t only revamped the club’s identity. The roster for the 2025-2026 season has been largely overhauled. 14 new players have arrived on the Cรดte dโAzur during the off-season, while 18 players have left. Fans had the opportunity to see the entire team during the traditional presentation photo for the new season.
A Ligue Magnus season that kicks off this Friday at 8 PM, at the Jean Bouin ice rink, against Chamonix. A presentation of all these novelties is planned before the match begins. This year, the goal is clear: to qualify for the play-offs for the third consecutive season.
