Until December 18, 2025, the municipality and the CFA Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโAzur are organizing a toy drive in nurseries and AnimaNice centers. The donations will be given to several local associations, who will redistribute them to hospitalized children or those from families in need.
As every year during the holiday season, solidarity is in action. In 2025, Nice is partnering with the CFA Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโAzur to invite residents to donate new or gently used toys. These donations will support several associations working for children and families in vulnerable situations.
For about ten years, this operation returns at the same period. It mobilizes a broad network of local actors, from municipal structures to charitable associations. The collection takes place in fourteen AnimaNice centers and in all the city’s nurseries. Residents can drop off their donations until December 18, depending on the locations and beneficiaries.
At the AnimaNice centers Django Reinhardt, Saint-Pancrace, Saint-Isidore, Notre-Dame, and La Madeleine Richard Scoffier, as well as in all municipal nurseries, the collected toys will go to the Tous avec Hugo association. These donations will be intended for children hospitalized in the pediatric departments of CHU de Nice. For sanitary reasons, the toys need to be new. This collection has already started and will run until December 15. It will also be possible to drop off a gift on November 22 during the Student Fair at the CFA Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโAzur stand.
The AnimaNice centers Fabron, La Costiรจre, Saint-Antoine, and Sainte-Marguerite will support Les Blouses Roses during the same period, from November 3 to December 15. These volunteers intervene in hospitals and medico-social establishments to offer a moment of escape to sick children and the elderly.
The AnimaNice centers Cimiez and La Maioun dรณu Rai will join the movement from December 4 to 15 in favor of the Secours Populaire Franรงais, an association committed to fighting poverty and exclusion.
The AnimaNice center Caucade will also participate in the operation from November 3 to December 15. The donations will be given to two local structures: ALANN and Partage ton Talent. The Gorbella center will extend the collection until December 18 for ALANN, while the Costanzo center will conduct it until December 8 for the Fondation de Nice.
A collective effort before the holidays
This solidarity campaign illustrates a collective commitment rooted in local life. It brings together municipal services, associations, families, and residents around a common goal: allowing each child to experience a moment of joy at Christmas.
By multiplying collection points, the city seeks to facilitate participation. Everyone can contribute near their home, in their leisure center, or in the neighborhood nursery. The gesture remains simple: a game or toy placed in a box can make a difference for a child who might not receive anything else at Christmas.
The initiative relies on a clear idea: a small donation, multiplied by hundreds, becomes a great chain of solidarity. During the holiday season, this approach finds particular resonance. It reminds us that conviviality and sharing are part of Nice’s life, well beyond the lights and decorations.
The municipality and the CFA Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโAzur invite residents to join this movement from November 3 until December 18, 2025. The donations will be sorted, distributed, and handed over to partner associations before Christmas so that the gifts reach their recipients in time for the holidays.
By giving a toy, everyone participates in a collective project, discreet yet essential. Behind every donation lies a smile, attention, a message of humanity. In the neighborhoods of Nice, the collection boxes are gradually filling up, testifying to simple and concrete solidarity.
Details of the locations and beneficiary associations are available on the official website of the city of Nice.
