Two races, two atmospheres, and the same setting: the Bay of Angels, Ponchettes Beach and a demanding course between sea and hinterland. The 2026 Ironman 70.3 World Championship animated Nice throughout the weekend with two different scenarios. On Saturday, Taylor Knibb dominated the women’s race from start to finish, winning the title in 4 h 19 min with more than five minutes ahead of her competitors, while French Marjolaine Pierré took 5th place. On Sunday, the men’s race was much more contested, with Hayden Wilde making the difference in the final part of the half-marathon to win in 3 h 50 min 49 s and claim his first world title. For this final edition of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship held in Nice, the athletes once again competed between the Mediterranean, the Vence pass and the Promenade des Anglais, in front of a crowd watching both events.
