He was born on August 2, 1984 in Vaucluse and since his arrival on earth, he has not been idle: illusionist, close-up artist, entertainer, impressionist, presenter… Arnaud Delomel is a young man with many skills. Today, he is “author of several television show concepts and is dedicating himself to entertainment as well as presenting a magazine that will arrive very soon on your screens.”
Nice-Première was invited to the “Private Lounge” of the television presenter with multiple projects, Arnaud Delomel.
**Nice-Première: You have a scientific bachelor’s degree and you studied legal, administrative and political sciences. If we only look at the “Diploma” section of your CV, there is no way we could imagine that you work in the media. How did you become a presenter for the M6 group?**
**Arnaud Delomel**: It’s a somewhat atypical path but I believe there are no two TV presenters who studied the same things. It’s often a series of circumstances and above all a lot of hard work. I started learning magic at age 14 while continuing my studies. It was a magic school in southern France in Carpentras. Gradually, in addition to close-up magic, that is, close-up magic (cards, coins, ropes…) I performed on stage in a large illusion show performed only by children. After my baccalaureate and two internships at France Bleue Vaucluse, I became a student in Paris to try to find some internships. At that time I was really more attracted to radio than to television.
But luck works in mysterious ways because once registered at Paris-X university, I found a poster saying that NTV, the student television channel licensed by the CSA, was looking for new faces. I registered and presented a film show which allowed me to cut my teeth in the interview field. It was very pleasant because not only could I see the films at press screenings but I was also invited to several festivals. Then I asked radio and television if it was possible to do an internship. Only one answer, fortunately it was positive. It was Frédéric Ferrer, a presenter on RFM, who invited me to his radio show and then to the recording of “Achats et Compagnie,” his home shopping show broadcast on M6. Everything happened very quickly because three months later, Frédéric calls me and offers me to co-host a pilot for a new show produced by M6.
Thanks to this opportunity, the production director calls me back and offers me to present high-tech shows live on M6 Boutique the channel as well as co-hosting (alongside Pierre Dhostel and Valérie Pascale) some major live broadcasts on M6 Boutique.
That’s how my adventure began.
**N-P: What’s happening with you now?**
**A.D.:** Since June 2005, I have stopped presenting home shopping shows, not only because in France there is an unfortunate tendency to “label” people, but also because I wanted to stand on my own two feet. So I launched into writing and then developing and co-producing my own programs.
I am working notably with Mac Lesggy, the presenter of the cult show E=M6, as well as with a Belgian production company (Kenovell) with which I am associated.
I am preparing short programs, a show on high tech, but shhh that’s a surprise. I’m also co-writing a game with my friend Pierre Dhostel and a young magician Greg Madison.
I was also offered to take command of a morning slot on a national adult music radio station, but you have to make choices and since it wasn’t in Paris I had to reluctantly refuse. Radio is more of a passion than television for me!
And of course I remain available to anyone who would like to develop a TV program. In France there are many talents but we don’t support them enough! It’s a shame.
**N-P: Since your beginnings, you have interviewed a number of personalities. What word comes to mind when I say:**
**A.D.:** So I will answer in one word…
– Daniel Auteuil: available
– Michel Serrault: charismatic
– Antoine De Caunes: multi-talented
– Miss France 2005: Cindy Fabre is really nice!
– Barbara Shultz: cute
– Loana: Bimbo
**N-P: Is there a particular personality you would like to interview?**
**A.D.:** I would have liked to interview Jules Verne, because he was someone ahead of his time. But especially because it’s impossible to meet him…
**N-P: Before you entered the world of television, you performed illusion and close-up shows. Let’s say you have a magic trick that allows you to make a TV presenter disappear. Which one would you make disappear from the small screen?**
**A.D.:** I would not allow myself to make someone disappear from the small screen. On the contrary, I would try the reverse formula and say “abracadabra: here are new talents…”
**N-P: Do you have a role model in television, a presenter you draw inspiration from?**
**A.D.:** Jean Pierre Foucault, of course, for me he’s the best! I find him really excellent, especially nowadays he really lets loose, and he’s from Marseille! But I also really like Laurent Ruquier!
**N-P: What kind of show would you like to host or co-host?**
**A.D.:** Without hesitation a prime-time entertainment show, but be careful, of a new kind, not reheated classic stuff like rankings, bloopers and other best-ofs…
I would very much like to present a game show. Maybe I’ll have the opportunity soon, who knows???
**N-P: At barely 21 years old, you are the author of several television concepts. How do you see yourself in 10 years?**
**A.D.:** In 10 years, I will be where the viewers take me (I hope quite far), with my head on my shoulders. In any case, I’m giving my all to reach the top. It’s difficult but not impossible. I also hope to have the pleasure of continuing to write. Nothing is more beautiful than seeing a project come to life. It’s in a way a dream coming true each time. I also don’t forget hosting, which for me is essential to my way of life. We’re really lucky to be able to practice a profession we love!
**N-P: I read in your biography that you were born in Vaucluse. What place in the PACA region moves you the most and what would you recommend to tourists?**
**A.D.:** The place in PACA that moves me the most is undoubtedly the little road that leads from Cavalaire to Saint-Tropez passing through Ramatuelle, along the coast. Be careful, not the main highway, which is nothing but a tourist trap…
It’s really great, I recommend traveling it by scooter. There’s a smell of pine mixed with the sweetness of the sea. Don’t tell too many people or it will get crowded!
A place I recommend to tourists is Sablet, a village where I return every weekend. I recommend coming the last weekend of July, for one of France’s largest “book days.” On the program: sunshine, cicadas, 100 of the most famous writers (Jean François Kahn, Max Gallo, Jacques Salomé… signing books) not forgetting the nectar of Bacchus in Côtes du Rhône wine.
**N-P: What can we wish for you in 2006?**
**A.D.:** Good health and new programs on air. I’ll take this opportunity to send my best wishes to everyone. See you soon!
