ASILDD presents its humanitarian project in the Republic of Congo.

The presentation will take place at the SIECL premises located at 27 Chemin du Vinaigrier in Nice (Col de Villefranche) on December 12, 2011, at 11:00 AM.

The presentation will include images of the installation last October of a submersible pump intended to resupply water to a hospital located in Africa as part of a humanitarian project.

This hospital is situated 250 km from the capital Brazzaville or from Pointe-Noire on the Ocean, in the town of Mouyondzi in the south of the Republic of the Congo. It is the only hospital within a 150 km radius, serving a total population of approximately 100,000 inhabitants.

The pump that was previously supplying it with water had broken down. To compensate for the lack of water, a traditional well was dug within the hospital, but it remained insufficient.

ASILDD, made aware of this situation, developed a project that also included several other health-related actions. It was within the context of this humanitarian project that they contacted SIECL and the company VEOLIA EAU, who spontaneously agreed to participate in this project that affects them, since it involves water supply.

SIECL notably granted an exceptional subsidy of 3,000 euros, and the company VEOLIA EAU provided the submersible pump and its equipment. The JCE of Antibes Sophia Antipolis funded an information campaign on dirty hand diseases.

Finally, the PACA Region financially contributed to all of these humanitarian projects with an amount of 5,500€.
