The Bellet vineyard is undoubtedly one of the oldest in France, with its planting dating back to the Greek era. The beginning of the 19th century marked the most prosperous period for the vineyard, as it is believed to have covered more than 1,000 hectares at the time.

In 1834, it became a noteworthy export product. Several plagues threatened its disappearance. However, the courage of the winemakers, attached to their local vintage, was rewarded by the classification of Bellet wine as a “Controlled Designation of Origin” (A.O.C.) in 1941.

To this day, Bellet wine is known worldwide.
