On Monday, at the FNAIM Côte d’Azur offices in Nice, the Society held its first press conference since the transition of power from former leader Pierre LAURENT to Frédéric PELOU, the new President of FNAIM Côte d’Azur.
A clarification on the main objectives of this new mandate 2012-2015.

Yesterday, FNAIM Côte d’Azur introduced its new President: elected on June 15th by the Board of Directors, Frédéric PELOU, 36 years old, a real estate agent since 1997 and head of his own company SAS Immobilière Pelou, presented alongside his predecessor Pierre LAURENT the key ideas of his new mandate.
Pierre Laurent, former President of FNAIM, reviews the past term
A term characterized by sharing, listening, and communication: Pierre LAURENT recalled the highlights shared with the Board of Directors during two annual seminars.
The first was based on “the pleasure of evolving within FNAIM,” during which each member of the Society could return to the fundamentals and explain why serving the organization and its members was a pleasure or not. “For me, it was one of the key moments of this mandate that allowed us to identify our own level of commitment and self-assess our involvement within FNAIM.”
The second seminar focused on a “reflection on the future of FNAIM,” a projection into the future, during an “economically difficult period,” a moment of listening and sharing that led to the drafting of a document given to the future federal President.
Pierre LAURENT also revisited FNAIM’s extensive information and communication plan, developed since 2010, including the launch of local meetings in the five areas to create connections and listen. A very concrete goal of FNAIM was to develop tools for its members, a way to retain members and keep them informed while growing.
Frédéric Pelou, the main directions of his mandate
“I want to be a driving force for our employer organization and an actor of our common future, while maintaining the coherence of actions initiated by my predecessors,” confided the new leader of FNAIM.
To this end, Frédéric PELOU chose several strategic angles: firstly, a strong connection with the FNAIM members, in continuity with Pierre LAURENT. Frédéric PELOU proposed the creation of a temporary replacement service, to intervene when someone is in difficulty, refine partnerships with accountants, make business audits easier in case of a transfer or takeover of a real estate office, or promote free information days in this field.
Proximity and friendliness within FNAIM were also emphasized, as well as communication with the press, which is fundamental for the current affairs and development of the society.
Frédéric PELOU has planned a political lobbying plan, given that a Minister of Housing has been appointed, “we must take advantage!” “I will appoint an ambassador responsible for public relations for our Department. They will be the voice of our union and relay the vision of our members.”
A way for FNAIM to restore the image of real estate and revalue the spirit of professional unionism, and especially to be “better heard by elected officials” outside election periods…
