Under a cloudy sky, the graduation ceremony took place. In the already dense crowd before the speeches even began, people looked for a breezy spot or a bench to sit on. Organized at the Villa Massรฉna, the city of Nice had set up tables, banquets, and a platform in the gardens of the Museum, showing a desire to do things right. In the air hovered a feeling of pride. That of the middle and high school students, and even more so of their relatives who had brought out cameras and camcorders. The wait was long, the heat stifling, and the first sign of faintness occurred. A young boy. A glass of water and a packet of biscuits later, he felt better and prepared for the start of his diploma presentation.
Between 100 and 200 euros in rewards for students
โEveryone has the same opportunities, and then there are the best… and you are the best,โ declared Christian Estrosi to the crowd. A behavior that the General Council of Alpes Maritimes wanted to reward. With amounts of 100 euros for middle school students and 200 euros for high school students. In all, there were 461 “very good” mentions for the certificate, and 709 for the baccalaureate awarded this year. These results concern only the Alpes Maritimes department. Among these laureates, some stood out: a 14-year-old high school graduate, students with an average of 20, or even the youngest certificate laureate of middle school who is only 13 years old. But all these students will have to wait a little longer to receive their diploma. For now, they will enjoy their well-deserved long summer holidays.
