One month before the Meeting Herculis EBS 2026, scheduled for July 10 at the Louis-II Stadium in Monaco, twelve new top athletes are joining a lineup already featuring Faith Kipyegon, Jimmy Gressier and Armand “Mondo” Duplantis. The Monegasque stage of the Diamond League will bring together several Olympic and world champions.
The lineup for the Meeting Herculis EBS 2026 continues to expand. Four weeks before the Monegasque meeting of the Wanda Diamond League, organized on July 10 at the Louis-II Stadium, twelve new headliners have confirmed their participation.
These announcements are added to the already confirmed presences of Faith Kipyegon over 3,000 meters, Jimmy Gressier over 5,000 meters and world record holder in pole vault Armand “Mondo” Duplantis.
Anticipated competitions on the track and in the field events
The women’s sprint will feature Julien Alfred over 200 meters. The Olympic champion from Saint Lucia will return to a competition where several performances have stood out in recent editions. Second in the 200 meters in 2023, Julien Alfred won the 100 meters in 2024 and 2025.
In the men’s 100 meters, Oblique Seville will be present in Monaco. The reigning world champion and world number one recently set a personal record of 9″77 in Tokyo. The Jamaican opened his 2026 season with a time of 9″91, achieved in non-ratifiable wind conditions.
Jordan Anthony will be discovering the Louis-II Stadium track for the first time. The American sprinter, recently crowned world indoor champion, will participate in the 100 meters.
The women’s 100 meters hurdles will bring together Masai Russell and Ditaji Kambundji. Olympic champion, Masai Russell ran 12″14 in Xiamen this season. Swiss Ditaji Kambundji, world champion in Tokyo, is also among the entrants.
The women’s pole vault competition will pit Katie Moon against Nina Kennedy. The American world champion will face the Australian Olympic champion in the discipline. The two pole vaulters regularly clear bars beyond 4.80 meters.
A strengthened lineup in several disciplines
The 800 meters will feature Emmanuel Wanyonyi. The Olympic champion is among the world’s top performers at this distance.
In the 400 meters, Botswanan Collen Kebinatshipi will also join the Monegasque lineup. Swiss Simon Ehammer will participate in the long jump competition.
The middle distance will be represented by Nadia Battocletti. The Italian world medalist has confirmed her presence in Monaco. New Zealander Geordie Beamish, reigning world champion, will compete in the 3,000 meters steeplechase.
The Meeting Herculis EBS 2026 had already unveiled several major names in recent weeks. Jimmy Gressier is among the first athletes announced for the 2026 edition. The presence of the French middle-distance runner over 5,000 meters, combined with that of Faith Kipyegon over 3,000 meters, shapes the outline of a packed evening on the Louis-II Stadium track.
The Monegasque athletics federation presented the outline of its 2026 season at a press conference held in Monaco. Among the announcements was also the participation of Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, world record holder in pole vault and resident of the Principality.
The 39th edition of the Meeting Herculis EBS is shaping up to be one of the major international athletics events of summer 2026 before the European Championships in Birmingham in August.
