Ambre Maroc has been established. Since July 18, 2006, Ambre International, a cultural association based in Sophia Antipolis and presided over by Jean Christophe MESSINA, has had a Moroccan branch in Rabat at the heart of Morocco.

The initiative to create a Moroccan branch of the association was driven by Nawal SEKKAT, Ambassador of Ambre International and then Vice President of Ambre Maroc.
The objectives of this new entity are to develop Franco-Moroccan cultural ties and exchanges. Starting in 2007, cultural events and social initiatives will be organized in Rabat, Casablanca, and Marrakech focusing on Contemporary Art.
Accompanied by Olivier TAZE, in charge of external relations for the association, the delegation from Ambre International met with Moroccan artists, members of the new association.
Major Moroccan companies, like Société Générale Marocaine and the Wilaya of Rabat (prefecture), have warmly welcomed the project and appreciate its social character. The French Embassy through its Service of Cooperation and Cultural Action has expressed interest in these Franco-Moroccan exchanges.
The new president of the Moroccan association, Mustapha SEKKAT, is committed to this endeavor to provide all his energy and enthusiasm to support artistic creation and aid young Moroccan artists.
