Three other lists complete the first round results. The list Nice Direct Democracy led by Céline Forjonnel achieves a good score in a campaign where it has not been easy to make a place for oneself. It obtains 2,690 votes, or 2.24% of votes cast.
The list To reclaim Nice led by Cédric Vella follows in sixth position collecting 2,238 votes, or 1.86% a result far below what polls predicted.
Workers’ Struggle – workers’ camp closes the field with Estelle Jaquet totaling 812 votes, or 0.67% of votes cast.
Participation below the national average
The figures come from official consolidated results after all polling stations were reported by the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture. The total number of votes cast reaches 120,351 ballots for a total number of 122,750 voters.
The Nice electorate counts 229,111 registered voters which gives a participation rate established at 53.58% in the municipality. It should be noted that the vote also includes 1,557 blank ballots and 842 spoiled ballots.
The participation recorded in Nice remains slightly lower than that observed at the national level. In France, the first round of the 2026 municipal elections shows a participation rate of 56%. The difference therefore exceeds two points between the national average and the level measured in the municipality.
The results released in the night correspond to the official count of the first round. This result constitutes the legal basis of the municipal vote. The second round of the 2026 municipal election, next Sunday, will determine the final composition of the municipal council.
