It was the battle of the former first deputies! And, ultimately, it was the one who had distanced himself from the outgoing mayor, Antoine Damiani, who came ahead of Christine Charles, who, being the most faithful among the loyal, had been designated as his successor by the outgoing mayor.
Charles Scibetta, opposition municipal councilor, won the election with 39.50% of the votes. Christine Charles came in second with 35.45%. Michel Thooris, the FN candidate, garnered 17.62%, and Estelle Borne (UMP) 7.46%.
A great satisfaction for Charles Scibetta, who will thus be the new mayor of Carros: “These elections were difficult. It is the victory of a different policy. I will be the mayor for all the residents of Carros.”
